If you are single and you know clap your hands! Valentine's Day is almost here and for those of you who are in love it is a pretty special day. For the rest of us not so much. When this day rolls around, we tend to be a little on the bitter side. In our defense it is hard not to be when you see all the other women getting flowers and gifts delivered to work, and even worse on social media.

When it comes to being a single woman on the big day of love we need to find a way to not dwell on the fact we haven't found prince charming. One way to celebrate is of course Galentine's Day. If you are  not familiar with it, you can read more here: Empower Your Squad: Celebrate Galentine's Day With Brunch & Gifts.

Here are a few ideas you can do to still celebrate the day and not stay stuck in the love dumps. So, chin up buttercup get ready to enjoy the day and not be a bitter Betty towards others who have that special someone.

1. See Valentine's Day as an excuse to spend the day doing absolutely positivity nothing at all. Put on those comfy pants and toss that hair up in messy bun and go into couch potato mode. Take naps. Eat snacks. Cruise FB and Insta. Online shop. Do nothing at all.

2. Try out some fun recipes that you keep seeing all over your pages. I always save all these delicious looking recipes with the intentions of one day I will make them. So far that has not been a thing. So maybe now is the time to try them out!

3.Treat yourself to some flowers! This is something I love to do. I am a big fan of daisies. One they are the friendliest flower and two they are dirt cheap and hard to kill. For me the time frame of how long till I kill this is a big selling point.

4.Host an Anti-Valentine's Day get-together! Get all of your closest friends together and bash those ex's or watch all those popular rom coms and pick out the flaws. Yell things like "that would never happen" or "only in Hollywood"! Fan favs for rom coms include classics like Sleepless in Seattle and My Best Friend's Wedding. Forgetting Sarah Marshall is a pretty good one to toss in the mix as well.

5. Treat yourself to all things you ex hated. This is my person favorite. He hated the movies. Go to the movies. He wouldn't go to dinner at an Italian restaurant because he doesn't eat carbs. Go eat all the carbs. Treat yourself!
