Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter: Spay/Neuter Clinic On January 25th
This poor little nugget of mine just had his second trip to the vet out in Laurel. First trip went incredibly well! Second trip not so much. He is a rescue who had a heck of journey getting to Montana.
I have a friend who takes in rescue pups from all over. She just happened to be in California on vacation, and friend of hers called and said this little dude needs a home. So, she packed him up as her carry on and brought him back home. Once I saw that little face, I knew he was meant to be a part of our family. (picture for attention because he is pathetic in his donut)

Of course, with rescues you have to be prepared for anything when it comes to their health. After the first checkup it was decided he needed a follow up appointment and to get him fixed. So, we made the appointment and got it done. Boy oh boy was he an angry little thing. But we all know how important it is to get our little loves fixed.
One of the most wonderful places here in town that can help with this is Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter. Did you know that in 2024 YVAS helped over 7,300 + animals! With over 2,950 stray animals brought in over the course of the year. 1,100 animals were returned to their owners, 3,100 were spayed/neutered. The numbers that really got my heart are over 740 were sent to foster homes, and they have a 96% live release rate.
According to the Home | Yellowstone Valley Animal Shelter they will be having a low cost spay/neuter clinic coming up on January 25th. They started taking appointments on the 1st of the month so get signed up now! You can only sign up online. You also can have them microchipped along with various vaccines.
