Fetty Wap Thanks Fans For Prayers After Auto Accident Breaks His Leg
He might be bruised, battered and have broken a single bone in multiple places, but Fetty Wap is on the mend, and has insisted to fans that he'll get better.
The "Trap Queen" artist was involved in a nasty auto accident on Saturday (September 26), according to TMZ, but took a moment to update fans on his condition—and give them his gratitude—in an Instagram video on Sunday. Still, he acknowledged there's a long road ahead.
"I appreciate all my fans for praying for me, man" he says in the clip. "I broke my leg in three places, but we'll be all right. I really appreciate y'all for real."
He expanded on his gratefulness in the clip's caption.
"Appreciate ya so much for the prayers," he wrote. "they told me don't make a video but I'm still breathing so I gotta let ya no I'll be back."
TMZ reported that Fetty was riding through his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey this weekend when he tried to pass a vehicle, but wound up colliding with oncoming traffic. He was rushed to a local hospital while still conscious and remained in stable condition through his stay.
Just a few days before the accident, Fetty posted a promotional Instagram video in which he sported a rather impenetrable-looking bike helmet. See? Proper safety is indeed cool, kids.
We wish Fetty a speedy recovery.
