Hours before he puts out his new Yandhi album, it appears Kanye West might be shedding his government name for a new moniker.

The "I Love It" rapper is clearly on a new wave these days. On Saturday (Sept. 29), the Chicago artist hopped on Instagram and put up a somewhat cryptic tweet, revealing he might have a new name to go with his new mindset. "The being formally known as Kanye West I am YE," he tweeted.

It is unclear if this is just a statement by Yeezy, meaning he has changed into a new way of thinking, or if he is totally switching his stage name, a la Prince when he turned into the symbol. We'll see.

Kanye is readying the release of his new album, which is slated to drop tonight, following his appearance on Saturday Night Live. Not much is known about the new album, which comes just three months following his Ye release. The late XXXTentacion and 6ix9ine are said to be featured on the LP.

The album comes a day after Lil Wayne put out his highly-anticipated Tha Carter V album. It features XXX, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Travis Scott, Snoop Dogg and more. West has already conceded defeat to Weezy when it comes to sales, predicting he will come in second when the numbers are announced next week. "We know [Yandhi] will come in number 2 to my brother Lil Wayne and that’s lovely," he tweeted. "The universe needs Ye and Wayne music at the same time."
